Who We Are

Bitonomy was founded in 2023 by two passionate Bitcoin maximalists, Holly Young and Metal G.

Holly became interested in Bitcoin in 2016, when her first contacts with the space were from Antonopoulos’ early lectures and the first online courses on digital currency from the University of Nicosia. Since, she has spent many, many hours in a long, happy fall down the rabbit hole, studying, reading and attending conferences. She is currently resident in the European Bitcoin heartland of Portugal, where she holds regular Bitcoin meetups and education sessions.  Although progress is slower then she would have liked, she prides herself on setting up the first of the Bitonomy circular economies around herself – a little outbreak of entries on the bitcoin map btcmap.org.

Metal G is an avid Bitcoiner who began as an investor but soon discovered the magic of the Orange Pill. He has an academic background in Psychology and Politics and has built a career in social entrepreneurship and consultancy. He also has vast experience of developing and delivering training products in a wide range of contexts.
